This refreshing summer drink is a breeze to make. Combine four ingredients in a shaker, shake, and serve.
The elderflower adds a delicate sweet floral note. While the lemon counteracts the sweet and adds the refreshing quality to it.
For this cocktail, we are using Giant Texas 95 bourbon from Gulf Coast Distilling. This is a 95 proof bourbon using a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. The high rye content adds a bit of spice to the mixture.
There is no wrong choice in whiskey for this drink. Each option will add its own subtle complexities to it. The end results are a sweet and refreshing summertime drink.

2.25 oz bourbon
.75 oz simple syrup
.5 oz elderflower liqueur
.5 oz lemon juice
How to make the elderflower whiskey sour
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a glass with ice. The lemon peel garnish is optional.
