RYE WHISKEY FINISHED IN NARANJA "ORANGE" WINE BARRELS

Ranger Creek Brewing and Distilling

Ranger Creek and the Festival have a great relationship that allows us to continually collaborate on fun projects.

We knew there needed to be another collaboration after our mead-finished bourbon and cider-finished rye, but we didn’t know what.

Introducing this fantastic Naranja Orange wine barre. It is orange wine made from Pedro Ximenez and Zalema Grapes, macerated with orange peel, and imported from Spain.

This Rye spent two and a half years in bourbon barrels before being introduced to a 53-gallon naranja "orange" Spanish wine. Over the next few months, they became acquainted to produce floral, apple, and orange aromas with honey, orange spice, and apple flavors finishing with a silky mouth-feel to become "Tejas"!

Surprising the short time it took, but we like it and hope you will too.
