Drunk Uncle Barrel Aged Cigar

Aged in Balcones Rye Barrels

The Drunk Uncle was our first release. It came after years of conversations with Jared at Balcones. Eventually, I found Ohana Nui, so Jared Himstedt, Daniel Whittington, and I visited their warehouse. We smoked more cigars than I can count that day but eventually settled on a couple we liked. Ohana took the lead on selecting a Balcones whiskey they thought would pair well with the chosen cigar. You won’t be disappointed with the Drunk Uncle. It ages well in a humidor bringing out more of the subtle rye flavors, along with the chocolate and espresso found in the original Balcones Rye release.

About the cigar series

Tejas Y Ohana, or Friends and Family, is a collaboration between the Texas Whiskey Festival & Ohana Nui. We are bringing together the timeless tradition through barrel aging various cigars in Texas Whiskey barrels.

The series explores how two great indulgences come together for a fantastic smoke. We are working with friends, the cigar and whiskey are becoming family, and we want you to share them with your friends and family.
