Let’s be honest—Texas is one incredible state. From the wide skies of the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast breeze, from El Paso to Texarkana, we’re home to some of the most iconic landscapes, vibrant cities, and proud people in the country.

Same goes for our whiskey.

Texas whiskey stands on its own—shaped by our climate, crafted by passionate makers, and rooted in a tradition that’s still being written. Across the state, you’ll find distilleries putting out rich, flavorful, world-class whiskey that could only come from here.

Below is a list of distilleries making great whiskey in the Lone Star State. We’ll keep it updated as we discover more worth sharing. This list was updated 7/30/2025.

Texas Whiskey Association Members

The following distilleries are proud members of the Texas Whiskey Association (TXWA).

TXWA unites distilleries that make their whiskey grain-to-glass right here in Texas. Together, they uphold standards that guarantee authenticity and transparency, so when a bottle carries the Certified Texas Whiskey mark, you know it was truly made in the Lone Star State. The Association exists to educate, protect, and promote — ensuring that Texas whiskey stands for quality, integrity, and pride in every pour.

From grain-to-glass makers to brands blending and aging whiskey under the Texas sun, these producers each add their own flavor to the state’s growing whiskey story. One thing remains true: great whiskey is being made in every corner of this great state.
